In a lovely lace gown by Augusta Jones and great photos by Esme Photography, our bride Alexandra couldn’t have looked more beautiful on her wedding day. And her smiles are contagious, like big Julia Roberts smiles that light up the world around her. Take a look and you’ll see what I mean.

Alexandra married Brad on March 28 at the historic All Saints Chapel in downtown Howell with the reception at Waldenwoods Resort. She met Brad for the first time when she ran into her friend Ian having dinner at the Moose Preserve in Pontiac. He asked her to join the party. Across the table was Brad, who spent a good deal of time shouting questions to Alexandra until she finally moved closer to hear him better. They talked the rest of the night and the rest is history.

Alexandra grew up in Clarkston, MI and got her BSN in Nursing from Oakland University. Later, she moved to midtown Detroit where she works as an ICU nurse at The Detroit Medical Center. Brad went to Cranbrook from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Finance.

And how did our bride find the perfect gown? When she visited our salon, she was searching for a unique vintage look. When she tried on “Daphne” by Augusta Jones, she knew it fit the image of her as a bride. But the real deal was sealed when her 3-year old nephew Emilio whispered “Zizi (auntie in Italian) you look like a Princess.” Alexandra told me she is not the princess type but she figured that would be O.K. for her wedding day!

Congratulations, Alexandra and Brad and best wishes for many wonderful years together.
