Meet Tricia: A Little Bit Romance, A Little Bit Bohemian

On a beautiful sunny day in June, at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Tricia and Alex were married on June 6th surrounded by family and friends. Her colors were soft pinks and mauves and her gown named Jacinda by Watters perfectly complimented the scenery. And with stunning photos by We Are the Billings Photography, I’d say this wedding was one gorgeous event to behold.

I asked Tricia how she picked her gown. She said she started with Pinterest because it’s great for looking through dozens of wedding gowns very quickly. She wanted something flowy and ethereal, with a Bohemian vibe. She also loved gowns with interesting backs and wanted to stay away from strapless. After spotting Jacinda on the Watters website, she made an appointment with us. Several gowns later, she finally tried it on and that was it. She had found her wedding gown.

Tricia and Alex met through match.com. She said,

I had never really been single before and felt lost when it came to dating so I figured I would try it. Alex said he had a string of bad dates through the site before me and was just about to delete his account when he saw my profile and messaged me. He was the first guy I went out with – I was incredibly lucky!

Tricia was raised in Brighton and went to Michigan State University where she studied Sociology. She later went to Wayne State to become a Physician’s Assistant and works at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit in their Cardiology unit.

Alex spent time in England when he was a boy because of his father’s job. His family went to many other countries “just for the weekend” so he was one well-traveled little boy. He spent a year at Hope College and then transferred to Western Michigan University to complete his Bachelors. He works for his family’s business in the chemical field.
