Mimi’s likes to carry unique gowns, and styles, designs you might not see everywhere. Just as every bride is different, every designer creates with a certain type of bride in mind. Who is she? What does she do? What are her hobbies? What is her personality? The answers to these questions form what is knowns as a ‘Designer’s Statement’. This statement captures a designer’s aesthetic, process, and ideal client in just a few sentences. Each designer that we carry has its own distinct look and feel for their gowns. We want every bride to walk through our doors and find at least one gown that speaks to her. (Ideally ‘The One’).

Introducing something brand new! This is very exciting news! We, Mimi’s Bridal Boutique staff, are pleased to announce that we will be hosting an event featuring Rosa Clará’s Soft 2019 Collection, from August 15th – 30th. That’s two weeks of brand new gowns; new to us, as well as new to the public. These two weeks will be a trial period, to see if this brand is a good fit for us as a boutique, in addition to a good fit for brides from the surrounding area.

The Rosa Clará Soft Collection emulates exactly what the name would entail: softness.

“A-line and mermaid-style wedding dresses with flatteringly draped skirts designed to make every step you take a celebration of exquisite femininity.”[1]

The Soft Collection is lovely. It combines delicacy and gentleness with strong elegance and timeless glamor. Some gowns are edgier than others, but even those still manage to capture the essence of softness. Some gowns’ styles are whimsical and flowy, while others are sleek and chic. The beadwork gives a nod towards a more retro era with necklines that range from classic, to modest, to more modern. The use of lace expresses a more airy and carefree time in history. Each gown has its own persona and the same gown may speak to different brides in very different ways. Each gown is brilliantly different from one another, and yet the collection is cohesive. If these gowns were girls they would get along well together, but still be able to stand on their own. In summary, this collection is stunningly soft, but strong. Are you that kind of bride?[1]

History lesson. Twenty-three years ago in Barcelona, Rosa Clará started her own business: a bridal wear shop. She wanted to create a product that stepped outside the typical bridal market demand. Her innovative designs began to gain recognition and her business began to spread through Spain and eventually the name Rosa Clará became a franchise around the world. Rosa Clará has worked to grow her business far beyond her original namesake line. In addition to the Rosa Clará line, she has Rosa Clará Couture, Rosa Clará Soft , Rosa Clará Cocktail Collection, First Communion, Veils, Shoes and Accessories.[2]

We hope you are just as excited as we are to preview this new collection!
